Biography

My name is Brandon M. Mattix, I’m 17 and I attend South Bend New Tech High School. I am a natural born leader, I hate to be late and once I put my mind to something I will get it done. I get these skills from my background and family; my father is a mechanical engineer and my mother managed at a daycare she started. My father, who is also our church pastor, is a regimented and professional person who refuses to accept failure. I have that same quality. My mother is a caring and nurturing woman, a trait I express toward people under my command or whom I work with.
Along with this family background I have spent several years working with the United States Marine Corps and I take a lot of influence from Colonel Jay D. Walker, and Master Sargent J. Vanderkooi. I currently work as a Squadron-Leader. I like to think the experience I received from working with the United States Military makes me qualified to work in high-stress situations. I know how to take apart a situation, look at from all angles, and make a decision while taking care of my people. I have never left a man behind and I don’t intend to, ever.
After high school I would like to enlist in the Marine Corps. Once I am done with Service I plan to enlist as an officer in the South Bend Police and continue to work and live in the city until retirement.
In this portfolio you will see my resume and a few samples of my work. Also I have taken the time to collect articles and documents from throughout my career both in the church and military fields. Along with a collection of my skills and personal goals, but a bit more in depth.
